How cute is she?!?!?

Di got a part time job at BCBG and just decided to try on some Harem pants, and they look adorable.. Check it out!!

Errands!!

Matt and I had some errands to take care of today. We bought his bday present (a swiss army watch from Bass Pro (below), and I tried on some clothes at Ells Bleu (because I had a Groupon). Like anything??

The last dress reminds me of the dress Julia Roberts wore at the Polo match in "Pretty Woman"- only MUCH more current.. What do you think??

It's FINALLY here!!

The Dallas Rock N' Roll half is TOMORROW!! I have been having some SERIOUS ankle pain (Matt has diagnosed it as my tendon), so I went to Luke's Locker to get some advice & new shoes. They told me that the Nike Free's (which they sell) that I've ben running in are for people wanting to train like barefoot runners, to strengthen your foot, but can cause pain (duh).. I walked away with a brand new pair of Saucony shoes (a brand I've never owned, but I swear these feel like a foot massage compared to my Nike's.. Here is my gear for the race tomorrow:

Still deciding between 3 running outfits.. I'm so excited! :)

Dream BIG!!

I read through InStyle this weekend, and found an opportunity that I'm really excited about. It's a contest to become an Ambassador for Oakley- with the 10 grand prize winners receiving a trip to Napa Valley, Oakley swag, and opportunities to be a brand Ambassador in their community. I feel a very strong connection to this project, and I've enlisted my friends and a few Richardson contacts to help me along the way. Now all I have to do is come up with a super-creative, true, inspiring application that will rang among the top 10 in the nation.. Any suggestions? I'll keep you posted on the progress of this project! :)

Bachelorette Weekend!!

So most of this weekend will be kept a secret, but just as some general info, we spent Friday night at Escalante's and Red Room. Saturday was spent with a quick run, spa time, POOL TIME at Zaza, Dinner at a Tapas restaurant, and then Bar-hopping (ending at Roosevelt's).. Thanks to the time change, we got home at 3:30.. How's THAT for rock-star partying?

I used the Crest 2-hour whiteners and got a spray an the day before we left, so I thought I might give red lipstick a try..

What to wear to Eno's?? Doing my best Blake Lively...

My FABULOUS friend Di just got a part time job at BCBG (because a manager saw how adorable she was shopping there, and asked to hire her on the spot)!! So she shared a friends and family discount with me and I have  a few outfit options for tomorrow.. The shorts are an inspiration from my twin, Blake (jk).. Thoughts?? Oh, and Kub REALLY wanted to be in the pictures :).

Groupon Date!!

I love GROUPON. Seriously, I found a groupon for the Lincoln Lawyer, and for Kenny's Woodfire on Greenville avenue, so Matt and I had an AMAZING discount date. The food (steaks and salads for both of us) was great, the restaurant had a fun atmosphere, and the best part (by far) was the make our own smores dessert! After we ordered it, so did a few tables around us. Are we trendsetters or WHAT??Thank goodness I had a 7.11 mile run that day (not that it was enough to make up for ALL of the calories, but it helped).. Can't wait to go back.. I can already smell the roasted marshmallows.. SIGH...

Tristan's Lingerie Shower

Tristan had a fabulous lingerie shower in Fort Worth at times ten cellar. The venue was adorable (as is the bride-to-be), and we played some fun games like "name the lingerie" where you give a title to each piece she receives as she opens it. We also heard the story of the "undie evolution", which details they kind of underwear a girl wears (starting with a white thong on her wedding day, and ending with Granny Panties.  The shower was hosted by Tristan's sister and sister-in-law to be, and they had pictures displayed of Tristan since she was a baby, and Tristan and Matt since high school (when they first started dating). Here is the future Mrs. Beard:
How cute is she?!!? After the shower we went out in Fort Worth, which was a blast. Can't wait for her next shower- this weekend at Eno's Pizza in the Bishop Arts District. What a trendy couple!

Limited is having a SALE!!

I visited the limited this week to purchase a suit after I realized my LR class pic was "business professional" and I didn't have any suits taht fit. Luckily, limited was having their $100 off a suit sale. The salesman also gave me (actually Matt) a bunch of coupons, so I got a free shirt with the discounted suit purchase. Matt was supportive and bought a shirt for me as well (that's my favorite kind of shopping trip)! Here's the suit:

I have also been encouraged to continue running through the end of the year. I looked up a 2011 calendar and if I start a new training program a week after each race (on a 12 week running program), I could run a race in March, June, September, and December. I would love to travel for all 4 and follow the Rock N Roll marathon series, but I'm working with a limited budget, and limited vacation days, so I'm limiting my race search to races in Texas. Luckily, there is a website I found via Google that lists all Texas Half Marathon races by Month (there aren't any in September because it is SO freakin HOT), but I have found the following races that I'm considering running:

1) 6/18/11- San Antonio Carabba's Half- This race is on a Saturday, which is a bit strange, but the entry fee is only $30 (DONE!)
2) 10/24/11- Houston Half
3) 11/14/11- San Antonio Rock N Roll Half or the Fort Worth Half
4) 12/5/11- Dallas White Rock Half
5) 12/12/11- Houston RunGirl 13.1- I competed in the IronGril sprint Tri a few years ago, and I believe this event is in the same series, plus I love any excuse to head to Houston! :)

As a quick goodbye, say "HELLO!" to Molly, a rescue bird I met during a Leadership Richardson meeting last week. She was SO cool. You never know what you're going to get out of an LR meeting!

Lots to do!!

The wedding is only 62 days away, and I can NOT believe it! I've been focused on getting my heart and mind prepared, and my body is a close third. I ordered a shirt from 26.2 apparel today (to match some running shorts I ordered a few weeks ago), and I also ordered a Garmin watch that is set to be here Tuesday. I took a long look at my planner today, and Matt and I have 1 weekend before the wedding that's free (April 23rd), and I am super excited about all of the celebrating we get to do in the next few months. This week's to do list is pretty long, but I have Friday off to drive to Houston for my bachelorette party!! The rest of the week includes (in addition to work):
*Marriage Counseling
*Planning for Leadership Richardson
*Loan Closing
*Networking Event (after work)
*Haircut & Hilights
*Spray-tan, nail fill, pedicure

Since there is SO much fun to be had over the next few weeks, I've been trying to build my outfits to go along with the parties. I have my eyes on the following shoes:
(Black and brown versions of the Miller sandal from the Tory Burch Outlet)

(Lana lace-up wedges from J. Crew)

Enjoy these pics from Tristan and Matt's wedding shower this weekend:
First, Matt and Di doing their best "Kim K and Her Giant Boyfriend" pic pose:
Di wore her extensions, and Matt kept calling it her "weave".. BOYS!

Next, a pic of the girls:

A pic of the happy couple:

In closing, here is the picture Matt said I had to take before we left, and he didn't want to be the one to get too close:
